Course Overview

Under health and safety law, an employer or self-employed person has a responsibility to ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments are carried out.

This course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of the risk assessment process and the skills required to undertake a suitable and sufficient risk assessment of activities on a construction site or workplace.

Learners will be able to identify hazards in the workplace or construction site, assess, rate and evaluate risk, determine priorities and develop risk reduction procedures. Through case studies, learners can evaluate real risks and decide upon suitable precautions.

By ensuring staff and others are not exposed to risk, you can reduce the number of work-related accidents which will save your business money and improve the quality of products and services you offer.

This course is suitable for anyone with the responsibility for undertaking or overseeing risk management, particularly line managers, supervisors and safety representatives in a construction environment.
